Any open source blog system w/ registration out there?

I want to have a system like blogger.com/ where someone can sign up via form and they get a blog. I know there are lots of OS blogs out there but I need the whole system where a person can register and get a blog. Anyone know of such an app?

Write one and GPL it for us

You could use something like: http://sourceforge.net/projects/sphpblog/

Which is open source and GPL, hack at it to create an easy to do setup for any user to register and create as it would seem like a very easy to customize setup since it only requires a web page/space and php on the web server.. no mysql database or anything else is required.

I don't think it would be too hard to choose a blogging tool of your own choice and write a simple script to automate the signup process. If you a central system to control all the blogs, edit, delete and such like then I then that would take quite a bit more work
