Hi I run a site about BlackNova Traders and also host a game there. I was looking for updated graphics for the game and am totally crap at graphics myself. There are several in-game pics I would like updated and also the main logo for my site.

I have no money (poor student) but wondered if anyone would be willing to donate a little time to this for me. I would be most grateful. I can send the pics to be updated zipped if you email me.

The site logo should be dark, space-oriented and contain the text dark-portal.co.uk. I was thinking along the lines of a space-anomoly, star trek style, in a sea of blackness and stars with funky text over the top, possibly slightly transparent or glowing from the edges.

Any help would be lovely.

You aren't going to find many things in this world anymore for free. A specially something as tedious as graphics design.

You never know if there is a good samaritan around the corner willing to help...

Yeah, you never find free things in this world anymore, especially not things like major operating systems, robust web servers, or full-featured office suites. Nobody would ever do that stuff for free.

Only a non-graphic-designer would say that graphic design is tedious. Besides, most talented graphic designers could whip up something like what he's asking for inside of a few minutes... I'll do if, if someone hasn't already offered.

I got a TV, a 19" monitor, a car, a box of cookies... All for free. On the other side of things, I've given away a motherboard, a computer, a TV, a surround sound system, some chocolate milk... Again, all for free

Yeah, I think I should have kept the Chocolate Milk, it would have gone good with the cookies, but hey, it's cool

Anyway, back to the topic at hand:

Andy@DP, maybe you could offer these aspiring artists something in return for their efforts? (I'm by no means a graphics artist, so I'm not asking )

Just an idea, maybe you'd get a better response that way?
