And now, with the negative part out of the way, I can't say I really see what information that article brings. Your article can be summarized as: "Use XFCE and Nvidia drivers; tweak make.conf; configure your kernel and use >some hardware<". With those 'good ol`' text-base installations of gentoo .. you are encouraged from install-point to configure your kernel and tweak make.conf.

Sorry, I just see no point in it.

Edit: perhaps I'm missing something.
