Any cheap hosting companies??

Hi All
I was just wondering if anyone knows any hosting companies that rent out cheap servers on the Internet? (preferably Europe)
I'm looking for a machine (nothing spectacular) with about 5 - 10 Gig HD, 128mb of RAM p3 500 with an up to date Linux distro installed on it & 1 IP address.
The machine will be mainly used as a Web Server.
I want full remote access over the server to update & administer it as I like using SSH.
I've had a look already & anything I see are companies offering bigger & faster machines than I need therefore costing more than I can afford. The cheapest I've seen is £79 per month.
Can anyone point me in the right direction for getting this as cheaply as possible?

Thanks in advance for any answers ;)

I built my web server for about $40 (american), use my cable connection to connect it to the internet, and only pay about $15 a year for the domain name from http://www.123domains.com/ and forwarding is free from http://zoneedit.com/
Can't get much cheaper than that, and it's mine, so I can do anything I like to it.
It's not the fastest thing in the world, but you will pay for speed.

Not a bad idea, trouble is I'm on dial up at the moment & havent even got cable :(

I've been renting boxes at RackShack! Click on the bargain basement, you will find RAQ's (kind of lame), RedHat, Plesk, Ensim. For under $120/month! Very Cheap I thought for the bandwidth and diskspace! usually 60G HD's and smallest BW is 400GIG monthly Tranfer.

cheap-domainregistration.com has domains for $8.75/year. :)

Thanks for the replies

Edward78: Webspace isnt a problem, I already have webspace & can put as many sites on it as I like free of charge. I just wanted a machine I could say was *mine*

micxz: That's kinda what I'm looking for. About 1/2 the price of that though. I guess I'm outta luck :(

vbp6us: I'll check that out ;)

Shak: Cheers, I'll check these out too.

Thanks again for the replies

I've got three of them now at RS. I've just sold half of one to a buddy of mine. And the other I'll simply started a small hosting biz and this box gas many many domains and it's paying for itself. So you simply need to find a couple clients for $35-$50 and it's pretty much paid for.

Use http://www.hostsearch.com to find what you're looking for. Although I'm now hosting 4 domains myself on my home machine, I highly recommend this site to find one suitable for your needs. Good Luck.

Also, be sure to check out http://www.yourhostsucks.com to find out which hosts NOT to use!

Thanks for the replies everyone:D

I think I'll wait till I get a couple of customers & then just get a decent machine & pay the money for it. I guess you get what you pay for ;)
