I don't have any urls for you, but fortunes threw up a quote from Hedy Lamarr. I looked her up on Wikipedia and the page listed scores of movies from Hollywood's Golden age that she was in. If you're into good old movies (which I am not) you'll probably find a few there.
In Ireland, 65.2% of reviews gave it 10/10 on imdb, and the number of "best sitcom ever" plaudits is staggering. It is timeless.
Timing is important. It was set in Ireland in 1995-1998. The Catholic Church was dominant here for centuries, but in 1992, the paedophilia scandals started coming out and being processed by police. Priests were being arrested and charged. Inquiries were set up.By 2000, The Catholic Church was totally undermined. But this was produced by Channel 4 in England, because it was too edgy for Ireland. Like "Yes, Minister" it was very close to the bone, and very hard hitting. You have to think of every priest in the country hating this, but knowing it was the sort of thing that went on.
After 3 intense years, there was talk of ending it; then Father Ted (Dermot Morgan) died suddenly after filming the last episode and that was that. Nearly all the other characters are top-notch Irish actors, so the acting is brilliant.

The problem is finding a movie that has good image quality rather than being very blurred, or just finding a movie in any condition.
Here are what I found for movies that Hedy Lamarr was in. I have not watched any of them and know nothing about them, except that Ekstase was or perhaps still is considered shocking.
These ancient movies are not my thing, really. I came along after that, and had more exposure to BBC/ITV material, which is actually high quality. Hollywood thought they were the only show, but they actually had competitors - Britain, Russia, Australia, France, even Ireland. The BBC had virtually no money, but they got excellent value for their £ by taking a chance on things they didn't fully understand done by dodgy guys. They axed it if it wasn't popular or the guy ended up in the funny farm. Search for "Only fools and horses series" or for Father Ted: "Father Ted Series".
They aren't movies, but they are on youtube and you'll binge on them. My son reminded me of a hilarious bit in Father Ted yesterday. The churchyard was filling up after a funeral as folks came out and Father Ted was there. He had attended the funeral, some dodgy visiting priest had done it. Somebody who obviously respected Ted came up and asked:
"Tell me, father: What the HELL was all that about?"
"Oh...um...er... I don't know." Replied Father Ted.
The church here would have been incandescent at the perceived insult, but it was only a little OTT.
Nice stuff. You do have to endure folks who are intoxicated with the idea of being on video dragging out their subject matter; but if you can focus your irritation elsewhere, you might learn something.
