But there have been a few where the reviews were good but we thought that the show was awful. And a few that the reviewers said the show was bad and we thought that it was ok or good.

You can get a good general idea how good/bad the show it. When almost everyone says 9-10 stars, then it's probably good.
High ratings are often predictable.
I mean e.g., all the Marvel shows and films get high ratings on imdb. That's just BS. Fanboyism.
I use imdb to get information all the time, but I try to ignore the star ratings as much as possible.
Ever since I saw the ratings for Striptease.
Don't believe the ratings, it's a great and extremely funny movie.
If you ever read a book by Carl Hiaasen you know what I mean.
The negative reviews are written either by disappointed Hiaasen fans or by disappointed Demi Moore fans. The former would have loved the movie if they hadn't read the book first (I actually did read the book first and still loved the movie), the latter are brainless sleazebags.

I look at this one and consider it to be mixed reviews. Also depends if you like the genre too. You get a general idea about it though.

Oh nice, checking it out.

Personally I find the amount of sex, violence, language. heavy suspense, & racism shoved in your face matters.

I can watch a movie with the wrong combination of the above, you can come away depressed & exhausted, instead of relaxed & rewarded.

Yes, and there is no reason for it. It doesn't add anything to the show. It detracts sometimes. There is a lot to be said for subtlety.

Downton Abbey, as cheesy a soap as it was, got rave reviews and large viewership. They are still re-running that show. Durrels in Corfu, Poldark, World on fire, they were cheesy too, yet people loved them.

I like suspense though. Broadchurch, Vera, Harrow, The Terror, that's good stuff.

+1 on Downton Abbey, & Vera. That lady holds Vera together though. Without her it's nothing BBC do too many police things though, because they're cheap. They're on their umpteenth 'Doctor Who.' The world here was on pulse dial when he first came out.

BBC also have a good way of doing British Aristocracy stuff (Jane Austen & Dickens) which people enjoy for the scenery. In reality all that unequal treatment is being called out now, but we can suspend reality to watch entertainment.

Father Ted was a pretty good comedy if you like things Irish. It was too close to the (Catholic)bone to be done in Ireland but hilarious, and the two main actors won awards.

I can nearly name the movies I let my kids watch. Things like Star Trek; Back to the Future; Star Wars; ghostbusters; Lord of the Rings; (Interestingly, my youngest and I drew away from later movies past the initial 3 films because they overdeveloped the Spiritistic element). You will like Knives Out (On putlocker) anyhow. Starts slow but gets good later. Also,El Presidente - by a fluke of feuding politicians, some nobody is elected president - and he's dead honest! It's a comedy, needless to say

And since this is a how do I do this and that forum,

It looks like that it can be viewed here, if you don't want to go to one of those "swat away the pop up windows" sites, and suffer all that porn, adds, popups, etc.
Code:
agent="Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.1; Win64; x64; rv:74.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/74.0"

curl -A "$agent" https://cqdkq.mcloud.to/2032d33e0b99d306cd89/4247f87d31f3d159d32903bf20ee28d1c4c61f9fa8755fe169f92e5baf13477716ab0c5ff652e3f8a314877b6d271b1d3352f7674297ef6809b735c5d72e09190d2eee205b2b7a7bf97bf5b1b7592cf4c0b449d442a858f47c24717ee57c245e/hls/480/480-[0000-1561].ts -o - >> KnivesOut.ts

ffmpeg -i KnivesOut.ts -c:a copy -c:v copy KnivesOut.mp4
That url may be subject to change, works as I post this.

You could also pipe the output of those transport stream segments into a media player.

Code:
curl -A "$agent" ....480/480-[0000-1561].ts -o - | mpv -

And just that fast, the hls segment url in post #1160 is invalid. You have to scrape it and then do something with it right away.

Just to show that you can get those, with just a web inspector, for example, segment 0001
Code:
wget --spider https://cqdkq.mcloud.to/203248de5982d45a81b2/925a9f5822584f0c5ae3beec170096c475d9e24a7eb0996b2db5cc0442cad524dd361b6a623b4a9ae495ebed353ac46e6779126b9e0b7982d0ddda224a7f4fe4802aeb066d7062f95dceab9ac4a42a8820160008c97fd9da6aafd041be716968/hls/720/720-0001.ts
Spider mode enabled. Check if remote file exists.
...
Loaded CA certificate '/etc/ssl/certs/ca-certificates.crt'
Resolving cqdkq.mcloud.to (cqdkq.mcloud.to)... 51.210.114.89
Connecting to cqdkq.mcloud.to (cqdkq.mcloud.to)|51.210.114.89|:443... connected.
HTTP request sent, awaiting response... 200 OK
Length: 1536336 (1.5M) [video/mp2t]
Hls transport stream segments can be concatenated together. After all they are x264/aac. Ideal for putting into a .mp4 container.
Happy scraping.
