Another good British series on Netflix: Murder Maps. The show tells true crime stories from the history of London in a mixture of narrative and dramatization. It is quite well done.

Frankly, the name is kind of stupid; I assume it relates to the show's use of maps as graphics in scene changes, but maps are peripheral to every episode I've watched so far.

One of the stories in season one is that of Dr. Crippen, a name that should be familiar to anyone who has read classic mystery stories from between the two World Wars.

(I can't help it. I'm a mystery buff.)

Debatable. If you step outside on a daily basis like I do.

Jail can be boring.

Road rash hurts.

So when laying up recuperating from reality bites. This movie sounds pretty good.
It is not out yet. Stars Tom Hanks with a dog and robot. Name of the movie is Bios.

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt3420504/

I liked the Swiss Family Robinson version also with the soccer ball.

One of the Movies you might like is Knives Out. It's quite different to your normal WhoDunIt - that's all I can say without spoiling it.

Stop taking my statement out of context.

A real rocket launch is better than any fictional movie.

Miranda, yup that's good. Wished that there was more of it.

She was on "Call the Midwife" later.

I found an American series that I thought was ok. It's on the second season, haven't watched 2 yet.

Dead to me.

I look at the reviews for shows on imdb, such as this example.
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt3747572...s?ref_=tt_ql_3

But there have been a few where the reviews were good but we thought that the show was awful. And a few that the reviewers said the show was bad and we thought that it was ok or good.

You can get a good general idea how good/bad the show it. When almost everyone says 9-10 stars, then it's probably good.

I look at this one and consider it to be mixed reviews. Also depends if you like the genre too. You get a general idea about it though.
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt8647310...s?ref_=tt_ql_3

Wheras something like this, if you like that genre then you know it's probably good. Or most think that it is.
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt6398184...s?ref_=tt_ql_3

I think imdb is better than reading NFLX reviews. I've seen lots of times where NFLX won't allow a review that isn't glowing for a show that they wish to promote. They seem to have a political bias.

I tend to agree that if an extremely large number of people vote yea or nay

keeping in mind sometimes we are idiots

especially large quantities of us on opinions, that are always opinions

https://m.imdb.com/title/tt0487810/tpb

if you like something from a library, go out and buy it
