Both dark and disturbing but good:

"The Bad Batch"
"You were Never Really Here"

Series of shorts by the guy that did 'District 9":

"Oats Studios Volume 1" (Netflix series of shorts)

I can't think of any possible way to spin that series (The Hunger Games) has having that premise.

Just thought I'd mention . I watch it on Amazon Prime channel on my roku box.

Love death and robots is pretty good on netflicks though. Kinda like a modern Twilight Zone.

Network (1976)

Very appropriate especially today.

Amazon has it, and I am sure Netflix as well. I even found it at Walmart in the $5 DVD bin.

Yup new Twilight Zone is very good TV just like previous. Bit surprising compared to other show script nowadays like Deception which is also good mystery TV but not that intriguing cause treats people like pupils.

Kinda admiring Jeremys action on certain threads in General today. Beating dead horses on a hot day makes me tired. I don't know about you. Maybe beating dead horses is your thing.

Which leads me to this post.
Not a movie per se. But the title should be a good explanation on why I post this.

Franklyn
This was very different than i imagined.
I imagined shallow but entertaining, vaguely gothy & steampunky mystery action.
but that's not what it was. It had all the elements (Marvel movies, incl. the hero monologue voiceover about how sick the world is) but it was like a parody of that.
not a joke though, very serious and a complex story unraveling.
not perfect, but refreshingly different.
recommended.

Some topics|threads do not become dead horses. Like this one. Cinema industry never stops producing and not all material are posted so this thread never gets old. For example Game of Thrones is mentioned in this topic but seriously Season 8 only recently got few episodes released to watch and some people who read this forum deserve reminder.
