Nobody mentioned Shutter Island (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1130884)?
From start to finish, there is an awesome mystery/ambiguity and atmosphere in this movie

Memento (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0209144), a little older, is incredible as well if you like thrillers around amnesia!
EDIT: XavierP has already mentioned Memento but I think it worth being rementioned

indeed, a brilliant show with typical British humour -- plenty of drinking and sarcasm.

The Heart Is a Lonely Hunter (1968)

One of the best films I've seen in a very long time.

Yes, a 1970s movie starring Yul Brenner & James Brolin, Josh Brolin's dad. It was a pretty good movie for the times!
