Speaking of horror type movies, I thought "28 Days Later" and its sequel were good.

"Blindness" was another good one. Not so much horror but more end-of-the-world stuff. What if everyone went blind?

Another very good action movie I just watched is

The Condemned

It's probably one of the best action movies I've ever seen, really !

P.S. Don't bother too much with the imdb ratings, I think they "fix" them. For example the above movie gets a 6 while Transformers gets a 7.4. Transformers BTW was probably the most terrible movie I've seen in a long time. And Hero gets an 8.0, YUCK !

Movies to see (in no particular order):

Children of A Lesser God

50-50

Local Hero

Idiocracy

Men In Black (I and II)

The Man Would Would Be King

Go Tell The Spartans

Brasil

Also,

anything by John Waters

the early Woody Allen (Pre-Annie Hall) stuff. Maybe one or two things thereafter.

All of the Harry Potter movies

All of the Lord of the Ring movies.

(Anybody know when they'll do a movie of the Harvard Lampoon satire "Bored of the Rings"? It would be wonderful.

All civil wars will hereforth be referred to as illegal insurgencies, by order of the Ministry of Truth. War is peace, freedom is slavery and ignorance is strength.

And here's a random thought edit for ya: How come nobody talks about the Kurds on CNN and Fox News anymore? It's all about the Shiites and Sunnis now for some reason. Another ally stabbed in the back? Good thing the supposedly "free" press can only get news out of an approved "pool".

I've never seen a truck with a parachute, never mind landed on one.

The Transporter films are great fun. I'd also suggest watching Crank - just as funny and fast moving.
