Just got in from my one horse town theatre.

Star Trek Beyond
was worth the bucks to see for me.

Good escapism on a Thursday evening. It was a hoot.

Next movie at my theatre is gonna be Dr. Strange.

I'll pay the bucks for that one also. Only about 20 people in the theatre tonight.

The Illusionist is a heck of good movie. It's a darkly fun ride with a heck of a twist ending.

Because even today, I can quote that movie line-by-line. Sad huh?

As they would say in my part of the world, "you poor thing."

Silver Streak is a fun train ride of a movie. The final scene takes place in Chicago Union Station.

The representation of 1970s Chicago Union Station in the movie was quite accurate. I should know; I spent enough time there when I worked for the NRPC.

I loved the Dr. Strange comics, but, frankly, I'm fed up with comic book movies, "reboots," and remakes. Hollywood is fresh out of new ideas and about as creative as "Classic Peanuts."

Grump, grump, grump.

Well. One takes what one can get out in the Wild Wild West where Langtrys just a museum now.

So I support my local Theater when I can.

Like seeing the Hateful 8 when it played there. Even stuff that is not my cup of tea like https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e9oa93BrNuw

But like I mentioned. One put's up with what is available. Like Lil Caesars.

I'm a happy camper. Most times.

Are you out near Judge Roy Bean's place? I went through there once after a night of boozing in Del Rio heading over to Big Bend.

100 miles in that part of the country is nothing, just like here in the LA metro area it's no problem to go over 100 miles from my house to get to Magic Mountain 6 Flags.
