Just watched Surrogates.
Sci-fi but not really out there and I enjoyed it.
Doubt I'll watch it twice but interesting enough to watch once.
Google it on IMDB.

I saw the movie. Indeed it is not so fantastic. well, at the end ... ups ok, for those who didnt see it.

I rewatch starwars, man, those episodes 4-5-6 were really in advance, at that time. It was really something.

I just watched (for the first time):
TRON 1982

I dont understand the end of the movie. Why the machine prints a form saying that the guy, flynn, coded the program (forgot already the name of it). The Tron machine/master program acknowledged him something?

Man, 30 years, after this movie, in 2009, computers are still the same. Voice recognition, Artificial intelligence, and computer helping people to live is completely:
/dev/null

Can we talk to our Linux server with voice, being understood, and ask it advices, to do stuffs? Situation and developments are unchanged since ~1980.

I never fought more than today, waiting daily after my Windows XP to show me a window, to start excel, to open even explorer, ... man, so slow it is. Some 30sec, really, to open Winword, while Intel are releasing completely amazing hardware. I have high tech computer, and it is : /dev/null, nothing else, as garbage microsoft.

I think *Nix world had to rise, and be the main operating system in the world. When Microsoft was born, that was the end of human developments. Look, we achieved very few progresses, compared to what came between 1950 - 1980. Now, nothing is new, it's just copy or remake of something that already existed. In Physics, it's the same, the biggest and greatest ideas and findings came long time ago, from 1900 til 1980's, and that's it. Well .. there is recent piece of equipments, for material sciences and medecine, that really out of mind well made. Although with what we have to work with daily, M$. Vehicles and aircrafts, & ground facilities, are also kind of dreaming alive, compared to what it was some 30 years ago. Luckily.

Well, luckily, we now live good, healthy, long, and well, in most countries in the world; I wish it would be everywhere peace! ... and with Linux

Poetry today

I dont recall the name of the movie, it was a serie in the 85-90 something around

the earth was invaded by some ufo stuffs, or aliens
they had some big machines, to walk on the mountains
those machines had 3 huge metallic legs.

I recall one episode. One guy was running in a green valley, and one of those high tower walking 3-legs machine detected him. He tried to hide along a rock, and finished smahed below of foot of this high machine. Was not kind of funny movie, some sort of V-visitors at that time.

Any idea what could it be the serie?

What was the name of that movie:

it starts in the desert in US, somewhere. A group of guys, certainly vampire hunters, arrive to a place. (I think they are a group of someting or those are the vampires...? I forgot)

then it is all of yellow color, desert. The action at the beginning of that moviie happens in a wooden house.

maybe something like this http://static.dezeen.com/uploads/200...-martel-12.jpg
but much more far west stylish

so those 2 groups: the hunters and the vampires, they fight hard, ... and it is bit bloody in that all mess.

I think that one main actor has little glasses... bit like elton john http://www.morethings.com/music/elto...n_john-100.jpg
but I dont remember well ...
