Yeah, I like Westerns, and those are two of my favourites. "Tombstone", with Kurt Russell as Wyatt Earp and Val Kilmer as Doc Holliday, is a good one too.

The scene where John Wayne humiliates Jimmy Stewart with target practice reminds me of a true story where a News Paper owner/editor convinced Teddy Roosevelt not to wear a pistol when he went in town to Medora, ND. TR had very bad eyesight and wasn't very good with a pistol. The newsman had a friend stop by. He threw a can and told TR to try to hit it. He missed. Then he threw up another can, and the friend filled it with holes before it hit the ground.

Cloverfield was a entertaining movie. (Sci-fi/action)

You should watch Taken. That movie was good.

It was a pretty good comedy western. I also liked "How the West Was Won" with Henry Fonda and Charles Bronson.

Another oddball western is "Dead Man" with Johnny Depp. I liked it because it is a different weird type of western.

I just watched 'the cowboys' with john wayne, quite a gritty western for JW.

When his cattle drivers abandon him for the gold fields, rancher Wil Andersen is forced to take on a collection of young boys as his drivers in order to get his herd to market in time to avoid financial disaster. The boys learn to do a man's job under Andersen's tutelage, however, neither Andersen nor the boys know that a gang of cattle thieves is stalking them.

JW's charactor is shot and killed near the end of the movie by the gang, so the boys get some guns and go after them, and kill them all!

Yeah, I've seen that a couple of times on TV.
The last(?) film John Wayne made is a good one, and very appropriate considering his condition: "The Shootist".
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0075213/
A few other Hollywood veterans in it as well.

There's one film that I would recommend NOT watching - It is the new Transformers film now being shown in cinemas. I went to the cinema yesterday and liked the special effects, but that's about it.

I don't often go to the cinema these days. There isn't one now in Oldham, there's one in Ashton and one in Rochdale, which are quite close by - but none in Oldham town centre. At one time there was half a dozen or more.

As RIAA's CEO, I'm so angered by all those greedy criminals who rob poor artists of their money by downloading illigal content. It's also them who brought the cinema industry on the verge of bankrupcy. Internet should be banned - it's the ultimate evil!!!
