What's the name of this movie, quite old:

the guy, main actor, very famous, btw he did too old western movies, ... so he is taking at the end a shower, with sort of red lights....
and then he put a black helmet then steal a stealth figher from the russian... then get tracked by few jet fighters, but he got rid of them. He got some troubles with fuel, but he made it. So ... maybe an happy end, sort of, but no one got married or got lot of childrens x10000'
what's that old movie title ?

I second that - one of the classics! Why do they even bother doing remakes of such films? Next thing we know, it will be Some Like It Hot starring Adam Sandler and Owen Wilson, with Paris Hilton as Sugar .

Anyone fancy joining me in a boycott of Ice Age 3: Dawn of the Dinosaurs? All true believers in natural history need to stand up against this blasphemy!

The second was better. Although maybe ice age 1 was cooler, funnier ...

I hated Ice Age. The scenes with the squirrel type creature with it's acorn was very funny, and would have probably made a very good Short, but the other characters in it just didn't work for me. Now, Monsters Inc on the other hand was wonderful.

Yes, I agree with that, though Shrek has been the best cartoon of recent years. Even the sequels are good - Antonio Banderas is just sublime as Puss in Boots .

Just seen "Blood - The last Vampire" today.

If you liked the anime, then have a go.
However many things have been made differently in the movie, alterations as well as additions.
Still good flick.

Yes, I've seen the original and it wasn't bad...but this one is a comedy version. I've also seen the orginal War of the Worlds and The Day the Earth Stood Still, now those were crappy remakes.

eh? The original The Ladykillers was also a comedy!

I've not seen the new version, other than a trailer, but it looked awful to me, but then I don't really care for the american style of in-your-face-subtle-as-a-sledgehammer comedy.

I think the new Ladykillers is awful. I had to watch it on a flight at one point, it was awful.

Some 16-18 years ago, there was a serie of "War of the Worlds" every sunday on TV, that was really impressive at that time. Did you watch them?
