Amish man starts "Uber" ride service with his horse and buggy
|
Made me wonder how you contact this guy. Go to his house and wait? Send snail mail?

I used to spend lots of time in Lancaster County, Pa., where there are many Amish and Mennonites. In fact, the crew of the Harrison Ford movie, Witness, stayed in the hotel that my company used for residential training classes (except of course, for the top stars and staff, who had houses rented for them).
There are a number gradations of Amish, some more strict than others. They also make a distinction between using modern technology for business and using it for their personal lives. You would never see a tractor, but you might see electrical wires to the barn for the care and well-being of the livestock, but not see electrical wires to the house for use by the family. |

saying (about amish or any group of people) "not even they would be that stupid" implies that amish are stupid to begin with. this is insulting and discriminating. in case you think i invented this, i didn't. it's the equivalent of "for a black (*), he's really intelligent". (*) you can substitute almost any group of people here; just trying to find an example that even thick-skulled people understand. no offense against africans/african-americans intended. this is actually worse than a (personal) insult. it's discrimination. i didn't before, but now i reported it. |

You've also defaced my username a number of times in a number of posts - which I have reported and further such posts will also be reported. I wouldn't call the kettle black if I were you ondoho. Just sayin' On-topic: The horse and buggy is still a normal mode of transport in some country's - believe it or not. |
This is how I read it:
