After new installation of debian jessie

The solution may be simple, but I'll need help. After a new installation of debian jessie on dell vostro 1014 laptop I am facing a minor nuisance. When the screensaver becomes active and I again wants to log in I am asked to enter the password. Can this be avoided? Thanks for the help.

yes, you need to configure the screensaver. What kind of GUI do you have? Gnome? In that case probably: settings->brightness&lock

Hi. Prudra this was not the best spot but a mod may move it...

Genome is default so? If you comb through the systems settings or control panel you will find settings (e.g: display or battery,) tho sometimes conflicting with other software trying to do the same thing? The GUI also has in the menus a help system that does sometimes. Have fun!

Oh, yes, I got it now. Just deactivated `Lock screen when screensaver is active'. Thanks.
