adware on the tablet?

Hi gang,
I have a problem. It annoys me. I may need to destroy my tablet, the hard way. Please rescue the tablet.
I have let the battery run down. Now, I get a pop-up inviting me to install an app on battery life. Adware? Built-in adware? I had this before, I did a factory reset. It behaved. Now, it's back to this...
It's an Archos 10th Xenon.
