ACT! migration

Okay, here's the situation. A major oil interest (multi-billion $'s) is looking to migrate their systems to Linux. Unfortunately, "ACT!" is used by a number of their auxillary sales force, most of who aren't especially computer literate or tied to the company in a fashion that allows them to be "leveraged" to another system. For the record, I have no personal financial interest, but my father works for one of these "distributors".

So, with all that in mind, what's a good "emulator" for something like ACT!? From what I've seen, it's an alright CRM, but nothing that a decent DB admin can't work with. Because I'm not into the various NDA's (standard possession ones, nothing like SCO's efforts) I can't accept the handful of offers to work with the migration. I'm pretty sure they aren't ready to migrate completely just yet, so an interm solution is probably best.

Anyone else with a workable solution to (or experience with) this kind of problem?
