About Internet Explorer*

Internet Explorer , is it a dangerous puddingware?

Last year, M$ and EyeSecurity Inc. keep a scripting "bug" secret for 6 months until M$ had a patch ready..........this current "bug" is a result of that patch not working properly..........

those Idiots in Redmond can't seem to get their act together, and they expect us to trust them with Longhorn and TCP(trusted computing platform)

I don't wanna seem biased, but IE is a major security hazard in windows and I suggest a switch to Mozilla Firefox

using Internet Explorer with no firewall, antivirus software, spyware tools etc (and I do talk to many clients on the phone who do just that) is like moving your mansion to the 'HOOD' and leaving your doors open all the time while you're gone.

SciYro 07-04-2004 03:08 PM

using IE even with firewall/av/spybot/adware/whatever else is still a security risk

Looks like some of the news agencies are starting to notice a trend... took them long enough.

If you're biased, you're in good company with CERT also recommending IE users switch to other browsers.

And don't forget the Department of Homeland Insecurity.:D They too recommended people stop using Internet Exploder last week.

Yeah I read that late last week at the cnn webpage and that is weird. They need to majorly update IE so be safer or so many people are going to switch over if they haven't already. They say with the SP2 update for XP, IE6 will be very very differant and much more secure buit who knows?!
