A disturbing trend(?) in IT job postings?

I will very freely admit that I don't know what to make of this .. although I am seeing it more and more. While trying to scare-up some new leads for myself, I have lately stumbled upon quite a few so-called "project manager" requisitions which have very different inducements from the usual ping-pong tables and in-the-building espresso bars:
  • Discounted meals at select restaurants within walking distance.
  • Free repairs to your car if you rent it from us.
  • Transportation to-and-from the workplace to one "designated place of residence of your choice" and also one "shopping opportunity."
(* blink! *)

Have you seen this (in America) too? What do you make of it?

I haven't seen any job offers like that but they do seem targeted to a H-1b Visa contractor or a person that never bothered to learn to drive or maintain a vehicle. I'm a little puzzled with the "free repairs to your car if you rent it from us". Is that indicating the person is renting a car while they are employed? If it's a rental why would they be expected to make repairs? Or are they saying they will fix your car if you rent something from them while yours is being repaired? If they are paying for repairs to my vehicle while I rent one that would be interesting. Are they talking oil change? Brakes? replace the clutch? blown engine? tires? It could get expensive very quickly. I have a few vehicles in case my daily driver breaks down, but I'm probably not the person they are targeting

The discounted meals to select restaurants in walking distance is kind of vague, is that an attempt to shorten your lunch time? It wouldn't be something I would turn one job down over another about.

I think it will make sense if you correlate it with the kind of business (and so employees) that these companies have.
