5 Years SMDV India Warranty - SMDV RF-908 Shutter Release (for Nikon Digital SLR)

From Flipkart:

Quote:
5 Years SMDV India Warranty and Free Transit Insurance.
Firstly, I couldn't find any list of dealers on SMDV's website.
Google didn't help me to find SMDV's dealers in India.

Are Electronics (Mobiles, Gaming Consoles, Cameras, Laptops, Personal & Health Care Products) purchased online covered by warranty? All Electronics sold on Flipkart are sourced from Indian suppliers authorized by the Manufacturer. They come with minimum 1-year Manufacturer's warranty and are serviceable at the corresponding brand's authorized service center(s) in India, unless specified otherwise.
I called Flipkart. They said that Nikon will be responsible for dealing
with the warranty claim so in case of problems I should go to a Nikon
showroom.

Can this be true? Nikon being responsible for SMDV's warranty?

Can someone help me in finding the dealers of SMDV in India or
a solution to this problem?

"Manufacturer's warranty" means it is guaranteed by Nikon.

But Nikon isn't the manufacturer. It is a third party remote - SMDV.
Why would Nikon be responsible?
