Well, if you want to get picky – Senator Sessions was on committees that had perfectly legitimate reasons to be in contact with members of foreign states – including Russia. It is well known that he had contact: it was

The allegations were simply that he somehow used those contacts "to cause the Wrong Person™ To Be Elected negatively influence (somehow) the election." For which there is no basis at all.

If you read the transcripts of the grueling hearings, you can read the actual questions and answers which have since been "cherry picked" in a vain attempt to create some kind of coup Constitutional crisis. They were, indeed, cherry picked.

In his present role as Attorney General of the United States, Sessions wisely chose to recuse himself – thereby side-stepping any allegations that he might not be ... as, indeed, he could not possibly be ... impartial, or that he might have some kind of conflict of interest in the matter. Also, he thereby neatly removed himself as a further target. I think it proper that he did this.

The only comment that I would make to all of these people now is: "Shaddup, all of you, and get to doing your job!"

"We, the People of the United States, are paying you to be: Presidents, Senators, Congressmen, and Well-Paid Government Flunkies." You can call yourselves "Republican," "Democrat," "Independent," or "Purple People-Eater™" on your own time, but meanwhile, "all of you work for us." None of you work for yourselves, and your job is never "to stand in the way of your esteemed(!) colleagues doing their job." For us.

There is a tremendous amount of work to be done, and we expect all of you to be doing that work. Whether or not this is the government that you wanted, this is the government that you now serve, and we expect all of you to do so to the best of your collective ability.

Hint: "That means [shaddup and ...] cooperate."

"Gentlebeings ... please do not be terribly surprised, let alone in any way offended, by 'the possibility of wiretapping.'"

But, most of all: "don't chase that Convenient White Rabbit!™"

"So, they wire-tapped you." "So what?"

Exactly what does this trivial preoccupation have to do with your mission as President? Dude, don't be so-easily distracted! "Get back to work!"

Fine point, but why was it necessary to tap Trump? If thats the case, did Obama also tap Hillary? If not, why not? Clearly this unexpected win threw everything off, and there seems to be a scramble of sorts.

"Everybody taps everybody," and Google reads and analyzes and sells every scrap of e-mail that you don't bother to encrypt. When Trump was having a meeting over lunch at a resort which he owns, people had their phones out.

And as for this being "an unexpected win," you can look through the archives of this site and see that I was predicting it months before it happened. (I didn't vote for either of them, but I could plainly see what was going to occur.)

I honestly don't know what the DNC was thinking, by bringing forth a candidate who – in effect – already had been the President for two full terms. (Hillary has always been the fire in Bill's political boiler.) These people simply made the grave mistake of assuming that "of course they would win, because who in their right mind would elect him?"

Above all, the people wanted to "stick it to The Establishment." And, Hillary Clinton was "The Establishment!"

Nevertheless, the DNC manufactured large quantities of their – now highly collectible – DEWEY DEFEATS TRUMAN newspapers "Madame President™" swag, sat back and waited for the American people to do the right thing™ while Hillary proceeded to begin pre-picking her Cabinet. When they didn't, they begged the Electoral College to "vote their conscience" and thereby "fix things." Instead, the electors took two more Hillary-votes away. Not a single Elector "reversed."

The Dems ignore the very simple fact that the election map was a sea of red, and that they "won the popular vote" only because of one State whose population is nearly twice that of the next two most-populous States combined, and by a margin that exceeds the total population of thirty. Truly, everyone (else!) clearly saw this thing coming, long, long before it happened. The only thing that surprises me, is that the Democrats continue to act surprised. Are they really that fossilized? That out-of-touch?

"This guy" isn't the President that the Democrats wanted the American people to want – but he is, for better or for worse, the one they actually wanted.

Obviously there is, within the most-guarded agencies of the US Federal Government, a complete lack of effective information security and personnel controls. The "top secret" clearance system, which has been outsourced(!) and which contains far, far too many issued clearances, is also a joke.

Knowledge Is Power, and people can die when information that is supposed to be kept secret is released.

This recent leak is not going to get anyone killed - if you had actually looked - it shows basically how the CIA has pretty much targeted any sort of internet capable device.

And you are surprised why? This is the Central Intelligence Agency. They do things like this.

Their mission is "to know what the enemy is likely to do tomorrow, today., and to do so without the enemy's knowledge."

- - -

A leak is a leak is a leak ... and it's still a felony.

Find everyone who had access to that data, anywhere in the US Government, arrest them and hold them in a military prison. Now, one person at a time, start releasing people who can be determined weren't part of the leak. The rest should then be shot by firing squad. Problem solved.

Spies are routinely executed. Leakers can (and IMHO should) be executed as well.

Leaking classified secrets is a form of espionage. It is not "freedom of speech" nor "a strike against the big bad government."

No, I don't think that "the ends justify the means." If the information you are entrusted with is top secret, and you reveal it or allow it to be revealed, you do so on pain of death. And that is what surely and quickly happens to you. And, pretty soon, WikiLeaks will run out of material.

- - -

And I'm a little bit dismayed that people in the Data Processing industry, of all industries, would be condoning this kind of flagrant security breach.

This is where we will continue to agree to disagree .

If these groups are this incompetent then they deserve this as far as I'm concerned. Why should I even give any sympathy to the CIA anyhow, not like they actually had any of our interests in mind anyways. The collusion with drug cartels, perpetuating the drug war, etc. I hold those responsible for leaking the shenanigans of the CIA less morally reprehensible compared to the CIA's very actions.

But the dems still say it was the Russians. The question I have is why is Brazille and Schultz still at the DNC at this point? Well its not like the dems are serious about beating Trump anyways, and who here ACTUALLY believed the Russia narrative?

Those who really do not want Trump in 2020, you have Brazille, Schultz, and others that pretty much cheated a valid candidate, and I am just echoing H.A. Goodman - he was correct, but he is also being shit on now.

Trump-Russia claims: No evidence of collusion - Nunes

There is no evidence so far that President Donald Trump's campaign team colluded with Russia during the 2016 US election, a top lawmaker says.
Further and further the Muh Russians narrative is being eroded away, but good news since Madame Cyberhack will run again in 2020, I just wonder what nation will be blamed when she loses again .
