Some just don't care, because 'its not happening to me' mentality. Thats all I can theorise.

If a needle was indeed used then a fairly large one would be needed to be used if only air was used and into a artery close to brain I'd think as it's not like on TV, small amounts of air dissipate into blood with out too much trouble. If something else was in the injection then all bets are off, something as simple to get as insulin will do it rather quick if put straight into bloodstream (insulin shock). Sounds State sponsored to me so I'm sure there are a large number of exotic cocktails that could be used.
If it was an inhalant then same thing, I'm sure a large number of things could bring on a severe respiratory attack/ fatal heart attack to him that may not affect a healthier person just near it.

Kim Jong-nam killing: Suspect 'was paid $90 for baby oil prank'

An Indonesian woman arrested for the murder of the half-brother of North Korea's leader has said she was given 400 Malaysian ringgit ($90; 72) to carry out a prank.

Indonesian embassy officials met Siti Aisyah, 25, on Saturday in the Malaysian capital.
Who knew it can be so cheap to hire an unwitting hitman.

Kim Jong-nam: VX dose was 'high and lethal'

Kim Jong-nam, the half-brother of North Korea's leader, was given a very high amount of the toxic nerve agent VX and he died in pain within 15-20 minutes, Malaysia's health minister says.
So it was VX.

Thumbs down

VX? Seriously? Used as it was it would have killed the attacker and any else who came in contact with it, probably before she made it to her target, but with enough influence you can say anything you want as an "official" cause. I doubt speculation on what it really was is over and will continue for sometime. Personally I say good riddance.

I do not know how it works, so if VX would have potentially killed more people, then perhaps the Malaysians need to higher better forensic pathologists.

Thought once apon a time about going to school for NBC (nuclear biological chemical) training. But part of the training meant being exposed to some of the real deal, VX was supposedly one of them. So at that point I decide "how about no". You can survive VX if given the antidote in time, Atropine if IIRC from auto injector pens. I wouldn't want to test that though

True, its just fun to speculate which is the point of this thread. On the one hand it is still a person, but thats as far as the definition of humanity is to be used, he was part of a horrible family that is nothing more but criminals, so I see nothing wrong in the speculation - and hopefully it was an extremely painful death.

A guy quizzed me about his time in South Korea. One of the team got drunk and decided he had it with flies or fleas or such. He poured a can of bug spray on himself and went into convulsions. A guy nearby was told many times about the two part pen for nbc an used it on the victim. When they got the guy to the hospital the doctor said the shot saved the guys life. Lucky for the free nations, we get a lot of bug spray advances from chemical warfare.

I'll go ahead and assume that the brother didn't really get killed and this is all an elaborate hoax to have the guy go free and defect to the west. I hate to suggest that because I'll assume Kim Jong-un will go ahead and murder some innocent people in NK.

Two women accused of killing Kim Jong-nam, the estranged brother of North Korea's leader, have been charged with his murder.

The women, Doan Thi Huong from Vietnam and Siti Aisyah from Indonesia, allegedly smeared deadly VX nerve agent on Mr Kim's face in Kuala Lumpur airport on 13 February.
Except again, if VX is dangerous just to store let alone handle then those two would be dead and more at least possibly injured in the airport, so it couldn't be VX.
