Hi all.

New to Linux ( not really, It's been about 8 months since I've last messed with it.)

I just got done installing Fedora 6 on an old P3 866 Pentium, 20 gig hard drive, 512 megs of memory and a NEC 2500A Dvd Burner.
A 32meg AGP Nvidia Video card.

Could someone point me in the right( correct procedure ) direction about getting updates.

Also, will Compiz work on a system such as this?

Also, what about that i586 and i686 problem.

It's been a while since I've messed with this, so it's like, I'm starting over again...

Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated...

I'm also a newbie in Fedora. Now i'm using Fedora Core 7.
I found this website quite useful to install or update your software in Fedora. I use it to update my software and kernel. Now i'm using kernel 2.6.22.1-41.fc7! : )
I'm also having problem in enabling the Desktop Effects under System->Preferences->Look and Feel->Desktop Effects which is Compiz.
