I am unable to boot from Fedora core 2 installation cd. I burnt all four iso images and they are burnt ok. When I insert my disk1 or boot disk into system it doesn't boot up with cd. I am unable to start installation at all. There is no autoboot directory this time in FC2. I am desperate to install it. Will any one help me how to start installation. I am not a new bie but I am coming back to linux after RH8.0
Are you sure you've your BIOS setup to boot from CD-ROM first before looking at your HD? And since you've dual boot .. check out the some of the bug reports and works around before installing FC2 into your HD.. you surely wouldn't like it to toss your win xp partition.
Thanx wiraone
yes i have told you that i m not a new bie. I changed the boot sequence and
it says trying to to detect bootable cd .. and then it doesn't recognize the disk and starts loading my xp.
I am trying to install it on my notebook Packard bell easy note K series.
- I also burnt Boot.iso on a separate cd.
- I also booted from dost boot disk and then tried to find out autoboot directory but there is no autoboot directory like one there was before until FC1.
Did you Verify Your ISO Image? and does your burning software have any peculiarities? Did you burn the iso, or did you use the image to create the disks?
still unable to do. I even tried write bootable disk option but it didn't work. Can one give me account to launch linux setup manual as i am able to boot with dosboot disk and can access my cdrom.
