Angry sony vaio PCG-R505TL and Fedora

I have installed FC3 on my sony vaio PCG-R505TL, which has a graphics card
Intel® 815EM Integrated Graphic
More information can be found on
http://catalina.org/sonyvaio/#specs

The system is now too slow. For applications like mozilla, evolution or openoffice, it is painfully slow. I want to improve the performance.

First of all, who is responsible for such a slowness? RAM, video memory or both?

Do some one give me some idea to improve the performance? I do not use openoffice a lot but use the system for browsing and presentation that include some small animations.

Thank you in advance.
