Unhappy SATA2 HDD Fedora6 installation problem

hi to all,
I have a SATA2 HDD and 64 bit AMD x2 65 processor.
I installed fedora6. however when I started the computer an error occured:
"no volume groups found" (not also 'kernel panic'). I googled however could not remove fedora or reinstall it. Then as a dumb I formatted the drive used by fedora via partion magic program in windows. now I can not reach the windows. when I boot the PC a prompt(> grup ) appers. how can I rescue my windows?

My computer booted from XP installation CD once and warned me about virus. I can't actually remember the details (I think the virus is Partion Magic 8.0). Now I can't boot from CD room
when I reboot my computer I see a black screen with the following writings:

verying DMI Pool Data............
Boot from CD:_

Here it waits for some time[when I first entered XP installation CD I saw the sentence "Press any key to boot from cd" but never repeated again when I rebooted since that time] and then the following writings appear on the screen:

GNU GRUB version 0.97 (636K lower / 1046464K upper memory)

[Minimal BASH-like line editing is supported. For the first word, TAB list off possible command completions. Anywhere else TAB list the possible completions of a device/ filename.]

grub>_
