Reboot blue screen hang after install


Hi I did an FC4 Install on my powerbook G4 mac everything was ok until i rebooted. Linux was booting up fine with all( GREEN OK) it went to the welcome page were i finished up the install i hit ok the hour glass appeared then there was a bell sound then the screen froze it was BLUE with a few distorted pictures. I did a desk top install with (auto partion).HERE IS MY POWERBOOK SPECS
  1. Machine Name : PowerBook G4
  2. Machine Model :PowerBook 3,4
  3. CPU Type: PowerPCG4(2,1)
  4. # of CPU's : 1
  5. CPU Speed : 800MHz
  6. L2 cache(perCPU) : 256 kb
  7. L3 cache(perCPU) : 1 Mb
  8. Memory : 1 GB
  9. Bus Speed : 133 MHz
  10. Boot ROM Version : 4.3.7f3
  11. PCI Card ATI mobility Radeon 3500:

Try log on at mode 3 (enter parameter 3 at GRUB or LILO bootup screen ) , then start your x with startx or gdm start or kdm start . If it's failed , show us your message .

And by the way , is your installation really success , especially Xconfigure step ?

It's the boot loader on Linux (the screen appear when you boot up your system ) . A common example of boot loader is BootMagic .

When im booting from the CD i notice an error message when all the command text is scrolling on the screen .... Error can't open mixer Device [/dev/mixer.No such file or directory.
