Problem Installing Fedora Core 3 with ATI Radeon x300 w/dell 19 inch monitor

I am trying to install Fedora Core 3 on my computer. After I press enter to install in graphical user mode, it loads all the files and searches for hardware, but when the page to install is supposed to pop up, my screen blacks out and says Cannot display this resolution, recommended resolution 1280 x 1024. I can hear the hard drive and dvd-rom still operating so i know its setting up the install. I tryed installing in text mode and it still happens.
I am running a dell xps 400 with 4 gigs of ram, ati radeon x300 se 128ram, 19 inch flat panel dell monitor, and pentium 3.4 gh processor.

I've got the same monitor and video card. I was able to install FC5 with no problems. Have you considered upgrading to 5?
