Problem installing fc11 on my dell laptop
 

Hi all,

I have a dell vostro 1200 laptop with vista running on it. I am not able to proceed with fc 11 on it. when i try to install fc 11, the installer takes me till the partitioning the hard disk. once i select the option use free space and tick on review partition the installer pop's up a bug. and asks to exit the installer. this bug has been posted on bugzilla with id 499523. but no responses yet.

please help me in over coming this problem

I had this kind of problems too; like the installation stuck at a sertain point.
Mostly I forgot to check the CD on burning errors
If that is also your problem burn a new CD on the lowest burning speed.

for a VISTA install dual boot

use the vista partition tool that is built in to vista to resize the partition .then leave that new space blank .
then retry the fedora install dvd .
