Not Enough Space?

I'm trying to install Fedora Core 4 on my Dell Inspiron 1000 laptop.

I go through all the normal motions, and then I get to the part where it will install the packages. At this screen, it says "Transferring install image....".

It finishes about 80% and then quits saying there is an error, and probably not enough space.

This is a clean install, and I'm having it auto-partition for me. The packages are about 6 gigs total, and the drive is a 30 gig.

Any idea why?

during install use Ctrl+Alt+F1 to F6 to see output from the installer. you may well find useful errors there. Also one screen will be a console login, saying just "bash-2.04$" or something run "df" there to see if you really have run out of space. also if you can, show us the output of "fdisk -l"

It could be just a bad CD. Did you run the media checks on them?
