No internet in FC3
 

I just installed FC3 after upgrading the hardware on my system. the install went fine, but now the internet is not there for me. I use ADSL and it worked fine with FC1. I checked my hardware and the LAN is recognized and active. the ADSL modem has the LAN activity light flashing and is also claiming to be connected to the ADSL provider. So with everything being fine I don't know what else to do, can anyone help? I should also note that it's not just in FireFox (my browser of choice) but yum won't work or anything else that is looking outside of my box.
