newbie having problem whit boot
Ello ello...
Someone told me (not in this forum) that I should download fedora linux, because it was a good linux for noobīs. I downloaded the 4 isoīs and burned them... but I canīt boot from the cdīs. On redhats homepage they talked about an boot.iso, but I cant find that iso file nowhere on the net. What am I doing wrong here? Is there some other linux that would be more suited for me, since I never even laid eye on an linux machine before... :newbie: |

I burned them with Nero. The correct way, by the look of things...

Some simples questions:
1)did you see if the "md5sum" of the iso.image are correct? 2) Your PCś bios boot sequence ist place to: CD, HD, etc ...(CD must be the first!)? 3)Did you dont simplely copied de iso.image to the CDs and not, as ist the corrrect, burned a bootable CD (see what type of archive exist in your CDs!) 4)Finally, take care with that, about HD geometry: http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...hreadid=238796 http://lwn.net/Articles/86835/ I hope this help you. :) |
