Mysterious reboot during Fedora Core 2 installation
I'm trying to install Fedora core 2 on an older machine. PII 233 64mb (2) 4gb hd's. I go throught the whole operation of partitioning (both myself and automatic) and selecting packages, and start installing from disk #1. After about 30 minutes into disk one (and the progress bar is about 75%) it suddenly reboots my machine. No error, no warning, just reboots.
Then because it still has the disk in the drive it wants to start the install again. If I take the disk out before machine boots again, it goes to the LILO boot loader that corel linux used(what I had on there previously). But Fedora is not listed and Corel obviously won't boot.
I have checked the disks for errors and have also run the rescue and the memory check. I've even let the install (after the reboot) keep going and try doing an upgrade (which it allows me to do). It will then ask me for disk 3 and 4 and finish installing after about another 15 min. But it still boots to LILO and corel linux.
Help!!!
