Installing Fedora 11 on Dell Optiplex 960
I'm trying to install Fedora 11 (x86_64) on Dell Optiplex 960.
It seems that after the kernel has booted, I have to keep pressing the power button in order for I/O to the DVDROM to go on. Pressing the space bar would also do the trick. As soon as I stop pressing either one of those, I/O to the DVDROM stops and the installation process hangs.
This is more apparent when I get to the X GUI installation, where I have to keep the mouse moving in order for installation to go on.
Kernel message buffer is incomplete and goes back as far as discovering the SATA disk.
Typing in the installation shell seems choppy and chars come out twice occasionally, especially the first one, and sometimes the bell would hang on so I have to press another button to stop it.
It seems like an interrupt mess.
Any clues?
