How do I uses a Fedora 8 dvd after a Live Install

Hello
I am planning on using the gnome live for Fedora 8 install.
I already burned the dvd for fedora 8 but do not have a windows ntfs drive available for the computer to use.
Is it possible to use the rpms on the fedora 8 dvd with a live cd after installing it.
In other words how do you use the application updater (right program?) to use the rpms on the Fedora 8 DVD after a cd live install has been completed.
