gray box on install!?
 

I'm trying to install Fedora Core1 on my DELL laptop (800mhz, 256MB RAM) the computer boots from CD, however, when anaconda or whatever starts up, it draws the installation GUI, then a huge gray box over everything except for a column on the left side about 20-30 pixels wide. I don't know what's wrong! My mouse moves around behind the gray box so I know the installation didn't just freeze on me... Any help would be appreciated.


P.S. Instead of trying to get rid of the gray box, I was wondering how I might be able to install fedora over my network, maybe with SSH? If anyone can help me either way it would be GREATLY appreciated. (I have the same problem with RH9.0)

Have you tried the text based install?

yes, I tried text based but it just messes up on PHP or something else... I gave up on that computer. I did successfully install it on another PC though. Can't seem to figure out how to set up my mail server though... Thanks for your help

try lores( or is it lowres) option
