Thumbs down Fedora .ISO Issues

Hey all,
I am having problems writing (unpacking) the ISO images onto a CD.

I am using Windows XP and Roxio to make the CDs.

Everything seems fine when the CDs are written, but when I check them and during the installation, files seem to be corrupt to a point where the install aborts.

I've tried re-downloading and reburning the ISOs, and get the same result.

I now have a "dead" computer. :-(

Thanks,
Dan

could be bad media (cd's are damaged),

your writing them tooo hi a speed.

i don't know roxie, if it has a 'simulator' use it so you stop wasting cd's and time.

what distro.. are they from a reputable site like distrowatch?

good luck.. oh yea make sure your specs are ok for the os to get on your machine.

Hi,
Did you check the SHA1SUM on all the iso images . This might also be a problem. Please find a good checksum calculator on the net, of course there a lot of them available(XCSC etc). Try calculating them and compare the values with those given on the red hat website. If they done match try downloading from a diffrent site.

Regards,
S.Suresh Stephen
