Fedora Installer won't upgrade Redhat Enterprise installation

I have a system with RedHat Enterprise workstation installed along with a fair amount of custom setup in place. I wanted to convert it to Fedora Core 1 without having to redo all the custom setup work, so I tried using the Fedora Core 1 CDs to upgrade it, but the Fedora installer didn't give me any option to perform an upgrade, only the new installation options were shown. Does anyone know how to force the Fedora Core 1 installer to do the upgrade?

my guess is that fedora is not an upgrade to your existing RH installation... probably closer to a different distro. If that be the case then no upgrade is possible.

as for forcing anything... betcha it would break your RH install...
