what error messages are you reciving?

Also have you checked the MDsums? using md5summer.exe against the SHA-1 algorithms provided at fedora?

they should look like this (if it is the i386 version you are using)

Hello there,

I have the similar problems here. I burned srpm image files to cds. cd1 wouldn't boot. I used sha1sum to check the files they are all correct. however when I use md5checksum to check the image files, the result is totally different from what you listed here.

What happend? Does that mean I got all my image files wrong? Why should you use md5checksum against sha1sum? kinda desperate. Thank you for your help in advance.

hurrrrrrrrrray.ok guys.i installed fc4 4 hrs ago.yes,from the hard drive.no wasting 4 cd's for testing.let me help some sufferrers like me here:

ps:sha1sums of the four iso's shud match.if yes proceed further.

hope all your drives r fat32.i had winxp on c drive.and all the 5 iso's on d drive(including rescuecd iso).for the ease of it dont put them into any folder.just place them into a drive(d,e or f) the install magic iso(google search it).then open the first cd iso and open the folders(there r two of them).in one of the folders there is a file nemed "boot iso".extract to desktop.put in a cd-r(my suggestion is use cd-rw,as u wud not b needing this cd in future)and u cud erase it later.use the image to cd burn option in nero.if u dont have it no problems.try ashampoo.google for it. and get a burner (demo).fully functional for 10 days(extendable to 30 days).then restart the comp .press F8 continously and select your cd rom as first boot device.then next to boot command enter
linux askmethod.slect the language and finally in the menu select the source as hard drive.then select the drive.if the iso's r in drive d.select hda5,hda6 for e and so on.then the installation will start.for further action look into the any normal fc4 guide.

hope this helps.
