Fedora (core 1) install on a Presario S4020WM-B

Everytime I try to install Fedora Core 1 on this computer, it always gives me an error like "Problem Formatting hda2. This is serious and the install cannot continue" and sometimes it makes it to the install but then it stops and says it cant continue. The media check says the disks are ok and the exact same disks work on all the other computers. At first i thought it was the fact that compaq's have that system partition but its not there anymore... can someone help me out?
