Question Fedora 10 - Error after Install - Volume Group not found

Hello,

I want to install Fedora 10, 64Bit on a Dell T300 System with a Raid10 Hardware raid (4x SAS drives). During the installation i used the standard linux volume layout.

Installation just runs fine but when i restart the system, it barks out with that error:

Code:
Reading all physical volumes. This may take a while...
Volume group "VolGroup00" not found
Unable to access resume device (/dev/VolGroup00/LogVol01)
mount: error mounting /dev/root on /sysroot as ext3: No such file or direct
And the system stops.

I just have no clue what to do, but trying another or older distro.
Any other idea ?

Cheers!

This is the part that I think is the problem:
Raid10 Hardware raid (4x SAS drives)

Does the kernel (or the initrd) file have the module for your raid controller.
Could you indicate what RAID controller card you have?

Can you boot up to a CD or DVD live distro? If so, and it has the kernel module needed you can modprobe the driver to gain access to the raid array.

There is a grub raid howto on the www.tldp.org web site.
