i have created a raid array with my raid card boot config tool. it shows as 4 drives in 0+1... it should show as one drive.

whenever i goto install fedora core 6, it tells me the drives need to be initialized and the data will be lost, this is fine, but why is it not detecting my raid volume? it only detects the hard drives and tells me i can create a software raid... is this the same as formating the existing drive array?

is this because fc6 does not have the drivers for my pci raid card? how do i remedy this issue?

so during the fedora install, can i just do software raid and have it mirror two drives on the IDE channel? hda and hdb

i cannot find any notes regarding how the software raid is configured during the FC6 install.
