FC4 Test 1 login problem SOLVED!
 

I just installed Fedora Core 4 Test 1 and it boots fine (besides booting in an unsupported resolution) and then when I attempt to log in the screen goes one shade of blue and after a while goes to a darker grayish blue color. I can't boot into the failsafe terminal (see linuxquestions.org/questions/showthread.php?s=&threadid=302940).
Anybody know what's wrong?

It wasn't that Gnome and KDE weren't working. It was just taking an extremely long time to load.

I reinstalled and was allowed into the failsafe terminal but creating a new user didn't solve the problem

I have the exact same problem.

Try letting your computer stay on for a while. It should load after 20 minutes or so (it does for me). Now comes the problem. Your computer will be slow as hell, and you're gonna be crying.

I currently am burning FC3 (I can't find my old DVD. Very odd indeed) again, so that I can just go back. I've had nothing but problems with FC4. Please, for the love of god please, don't use FC4 unless you're the l33test of the l33test
