FC4 installation bootdisk
I want to install FC4 in my PC from a remote web server. I use the vmware enviroment to install FC4. However, for loading the FC4 intallation the first FC4 CD is needed. I think a FC4 bootdisk can loading the FC4 installation
guide. Can someone tell me the method to make a FC4 bootdisk? Thanks! |
Can you “boot” from vmware using the FC4 installation CD (or from the FC4 Rescue CD)?
If yes, then enter “linux askmethod” at the initial boot prompt (boot: linux askmethod) and a few questions in you will be given the various installation options, including LAN/WAN options. It will look a lot like the text-based RHL9 installation. There is also a way to boot the installation kernel from a preexisting linux installation on a system, but I don't know how well that plays with vmware. Sorry I can't be more helpful, but I have never used vmware and don't know what the “boot” options are. |
I have succeed to installe FC4 from my web site. It is similar with the method you
told me. And the FC4 works well with vmware. I use the first FC4 installation CD to boot installation. But I don't want to use the CD boot . I know that a floppy bootdisk can boot the FC4 installation. I wonder how to make the floppy bootdisk? |
