FC3 Kernel (10-1.741_FC3) will not install on AMD64

Ran the Up2Date function last night (1-15-05). A new kernel was one of the items. Should have installed itself but it didn't. Have rebooted several times but it is not going to find anything. Tried to run the update program again but it insists that there is nothing new to update. However, the message in the Alert tool says:
"Your system is currently running Kernel-2.6.9-1.667, but the newest installed kernel is Kernel-2.6.10-1.741_FC3. It is recommended that you reboot at the first opportunity to test this new kernel."
It would seem that it may be somewhere in the system, but did not install nor update GRUB. The 4 related files in /boot are still the 2.6.9-1.667 versions.

Can anyone tell me how to either A) get the update again and let Up2Date have another go at it or B) how to find the file that is reported to be on the system and install it. Naturally I would prefer the automated "a" solution, but I will take whatever help I can get. Thanks!

This problem has been resolved. Repeated up2date failures appeared to have been the culprit. I reinstalled. It's amazing how fast the CD loads and how pitifully slow the download updates are. Maybe busy servers everytime? I am using the command line to update Fedora from now on. I do not trust Up2date. If anyone is reading this with a similar problem as I had, simply go to a terminal screen, signon as root and get the updates like this:

su
yum update

Answer Y to the prompt eventually

Some time later you are updated. So far, my experiences with the command line updates have been great (twice in 2 days). The experiences with the GUI up2date have been a major pain. Judging from the other frustration I have read about the up2date function in the forums, I would say it is broke.....
