FC3 install prob after running /sbin/loader

hi all,

My machine running Xp and FC2 and it was fine. Now i try to install FC3 (new install) using DVD.

The problem is.......the installation process was "hang" after this line..

running install
running /sbin/loader

after that line......it just hang and noting happen.

What the problem?? Can i fix it?

in the install process, did you ask it to reinstall the grub boot loader? i assume you are dual booting using grub. i encountered a problem when moving from fc2->fc3. it resulted from not having a new grub.conf file written. the config file was still pointing at the old fc2 image files which were no longer there.

I have the same problem with the instalation dies at " running /sbin/loader"
ATM I don't have any other OS than XP, so it's not a old conf file teasing i here..

ergo.. it must be something else ?

can anyone help with this ?

Hi KingGuru,

I managed to solve it. It related to USB problem in the FC3. What you can do is unplug all USB devices and run the installation again. It work for me. Good Luck.
