billbest LQ Newbie Registered: Jun 2004 Posts: 1 Rep:	FC2 install hangs on Xaw3d - how to deselect? hi i am trying to install RC2 on a new server and it keeps hanging time and again with disk #2 when it is installing an app called Xaw3d: "Xaw3d is a replacement of the Athena Widget Set (Xaw) providing a three dimensional appearance by using for several widgets top and bottom shadows". i will be running this server without X and have deselected anything to do with X and graphical system admin tools. under "System Tools" i found something called xdelta lurking and so i removed that too from the install which still failed. i've tried tried about 8 times now. does anybody know what option(s) i need to deselect to prevent Xaw3d from trying to install - i don't want it or need it. many thanks bill processor P4 / 2.80GHz / 800MHz FSB / 512KB cache mobo Tyan S5112G2NR ram 2GB PC3200 DDRAM graphics adapter Integrated ATI Rage XL with 8MB RAM
