FC1 suddenly won't install
I've been fighting with trying to compile a new kernel to better support my SCSI card with Fedora Core 1 the past couple days. Today I went to reinstall it on my system (keep in mind it's been installed probably 4-5 times the past few days) and partway through the installation while installing files off CD1, suddenly the installer bombs out with a "install exited abnormally" message. It did have an error message above that about not being able to update the keyboard configuration as well. It's been doing this all day today. Well, that and giving me an error during the copy process saying that there was a fatal error while copying a file over (always a different one) and all I can do is hit OK to reboot. It lists faulty media, full hard drive, or faulty hardware as the causes. I've ran the media test and burned new CDs, it's a 140GB RAID-5 array, brand new, so I'm sure there is plenty of space, and I can't find anything wrong with the hardware. Mandrake 9.1 installs just fine, as does RH9, but Fedora just continues to error out, and I have no idea why. So.. if by chance anyone has seen this before and figured something out, I'd love to hear it.
Thanks.
