creating a boot disk problems!!
I have had many problems booting Fedora. But this is the main problem(This is a problem I posted before, and a friend answer me back):" I'll explain it using grub. If you want lilo then substitute lilo for grub in the explanation.
First you have to find the grub rpm. It is on one of your Fedora install CDs. So for each CD go through these commands until you find the grub rpm:
mkdir /powhaten (you only have to do this once)
Put your CD in the tray.
mount -t iso9660 /dev/cdrom /powhaten
find /powhaten -iname "*grub*"
If you do not find the grub rpm then:
umount /powhaten
and go to the next Fedora install CD.
Once you find the grub rpm then you install grub with:
rpm -i /powhaten/pathname/grub.x.x.x.rpm
umount /powhaten
rmdir /powhaten"
I tried this but it did not work. Also, I noticed that I have no /boot directory, I'm very confused, what is going on??
Please help!!
